    1. Cook(e) in Botetourt

    3. Please reply to Jim Cooke <[email protected]> if you have a connection. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ William Cooke born ca1770 in Prince Edward Mrd Elizabeth Pettus in Pr Edward in 1792, dau of Stephen. William was "of Buckingham" at that time. By 1827 he was "of Botetourt County" per a PrEdward County Power of Attorney. We suspect that William fathered a child with Catherine Miller(born ca1790). She was a dau of Jacob Miller. The child, Jacob Marion Williams was raised by Catherine & Phillip E. Williams in TN. The child was born in 1814. DNA proves that Jacob Williams' descendants are a match to my DNA, which is Cooke. However, descendants of Jacob's younger siblings do NOT match. "Botetourt" seems to be where their paths crossed. Jim
