Dear List Members: When I was a young boy and we had gone to Bedford Virginia for the summer, I remember the summer of 1944. I remember it was a time of sad faces and broken hearts. Back then I could not really fathom the great loss that Bedford had sustained, but as I have grown older and now know the real story of all our brave solders that hit Omaha Beach on that morning of June 6, 1944, I can realize the great loss that summer long ago held for many Bedford families. I have added a page entitled "The Bedford Boys" to my web presentation, Bedford Photo Gallery, the URL is: http://www.tommymarkham.com/BedfordPictures/BPG-11.htm . When you have time visit this page, I know it will have a lasting effect on you as it has on me. Tommy Thomas A. Markham [email protected] Home Page: http://www.tommymarkham.com
Thanks for your great website. Some time, when you have absolutely nothing to do, ; - } would you please look up the WEBSTER name in your Bedford files? I'm looking back toward late 1700's and early 1800's. Keep up on your website -- we live in California and will probably never get to Virginia so this is especially interesting.
