Tommy, our Johnson line is unknown to us before my wife's father. He claimed to have been born in Indiana, in or near Ft. Wayne, or on one document he said in Ohio. He said his parents were Samuel Johnson and his mother, Mary Catherine Early. His name was William Belle Johnson. We have been to the Allen County Library in Ft. Wayne on two occasions and have been unable to find any trace of this family. It is as if he materialized out of thin air at the time he married my wife's mother in 1925 in Colbert County, Alabama.
