Doris, Dr. Landon was very well known and respected in the early part of the 20th century. He has many publications under his belt. He is the man who the "Peaks of Otter Chapter" of DAR asked to give the speech when the memorial tablet was laid in honor of Captain John Thomas BUFORD and his volunteer company of Bedford men who fought Chief Cornstock at Point Pleasant October 10th 1774.
