JOhn~ Thanks for your reply. I have been in contact with LaMona just recently. My husband's great grandfather, Samuel Henry Gray was the son of "John" Richard Henry and Lucinda "Cindy" Falls Gray. I am having trouble locating any info on Lucinda. There was some speculation that she was the daughter of Daniel and Cynthia Falls, but I don't think so. I am just trying to place her in the correct family. The Maria Ellis listed as William Henry Gray's step-mother, was actually his step-grandmother. She was married to Sarah E. Ellis's father Richard Ellis. What Gray line do you descend from? Leslie Ann

Hi Leslie Ann - Do you know the parents of Rebecca Falls who married James Gray in this same family? Could they be sisters? I am descended from John Gray 1784-1855, who married Monroe Co., VA(WV) Susanna Thompson in 1816. They came to OH with her father and others in the Thompson family, arriving Union Co., OH ca 1817-20 time frame. I have a large genealogy on the Monroe Co. family also, but so far cannot connect my John. There is a possibility he connects to your family, but there were several Gray families in the SW corner of VA/WV I cannot connect, plus another larger group in Culpeper Co., and a branch of the Monroe Co. family who went to Guilford Co., NC, and a branch of that family came to Champaign Co., Union Co., & Hardin Co., OH where many of their descendants still reside. Weren't the Falls family and the McFalls family in Bedfoird Co, one and the same? This was always my understanding. You might check out the McFalls also. Blessings, Flo
