I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank all of you who wrote stories for The Patrick County Heritage Book Volume II. It has been a huge success. We strived very hard to really go for quality and content this time, and it shows. The book is beautifully done. I also want to thank my wonderful committee and their families for all their hard work and support. They are the back bone of any project like this, working many tireless hours with much dedication and devotion towards making every story and picture look its best. HATS OFF TO YOU! And, building on Lee Anders connection with an unknown cousin.....one of the most moving experiences about our book that I was made aware of just a week ago, an elderly lady here in Patrick County who is bedridden, took our book and laid in bed and read the book to her daughter and shared wonderful stories and memories of her life as well. I was so moved by this call, I nearly found myself crying because it really touched my heart. We'd like to hear from some of you....what did you think of our book, and how did it impact your life? Anymore family connections out there? I know of one other than Lee's that occurred, as I was talking with a lady in Patrick County yesterday who discovered two cousins both of whom have already come to visit and they live in other states.
