Would someone with access to the 1820 census please do a look-up for me? I use the library edition of Ancestry, and I am having trouble reading this. The search shows that Jesse Cop is on page 9. On page 9 at the very top of the page is what appears to be Jepee Cofes, but it is very faded. Was if common for the Bedford Co. census taker to use "p" to stand for "ss" and "f" for "pp"? I have only seen "f" used to stand for "ss" before. Hoping that a second pair of eyes will clarify this for me. Thanks so much for your help. Karen Lee
