Mr. J. N. Early lived on College St and used to fly a flag that he had brought home as a souvenier from the Civil War and some newspaper clippings said he flew that flag on several holidays. The flag is now at the Bedford City County Museum. I also did a "White Page" listing for the Early name in Bedford...none...only several in Bedford County and some in the surrounding county.
