    1. WILSON, James Casey
    2. Need help in finding information concerning James Casey WILSON, believed to live in the Falling River or Falling Creek area of Bedford County. He should be found in the area of Bedford County that became Campbell County. I know he lived in Campbell County in 1796 when one of his children, John Casey Wilson, was born. James Casey Wilson was probably born about 1750, wife's name believed to be Mary, and they had 9 or 10 children. James C. Wilson served in the Revolutionary War according to a document found in Van Wert County, Ohio Genealogical Society. Also could have been in the Scot/Irish settlements in Augusta County, VA, according to some notes made in the family bible. The family came from Scotland, and lived for a short time or passed through Delaware or Maryland on the way to Virginia. Don't really know when they arrived, but in trying to decipher the notes in the family bible, it appears that they may have arrived in the early 1700s. There is a note in the bible that appears to be "ar md 1718". I took it to be "arrived Maryland 1718". Any information, help or guidance will be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much, Harold in Florida Just for my info, is it conceivable that he could have lived in Augusta County, then to Bedford County/Campbell? Isn't Augusta County quite a distance from Bedford?
