Hi, Donna and all..... One name that does not appear on many of the lists is James Kasey. According to family legend he was in the militia. He fought at the Guilford Courthouse, Yorktown, and other places. I don't think he was an officer, though. The story goes that when he was called, his eldest son, Alexander, who was about six, would go with his dad to the designated place and then ride the horse back home. Of course, James was said to be a deserter from the British Navy and I think he was trying to stay under the radar, so to speak! I'm not sure the Shaons were in VA in time to fight in the Rev War.......they were probably too young and still in Maryland. I'd like to know if the William Keneday mentioned was "our" William..........William and James did sign a petition in Boutetout Co. in about 1770 and went to Bedford about the same time. Anyone else have any different or more info on these guys? Sally Kasey Emily
