Can someone shed some light on the people in Bedford who were accused of Treason? I have found conflicting reports concerning what happened. I have found sketchy information concerning the affair but not much of substance. Can someone point me to more information about this? My main interest is in the Watts who was accused of treason allegedly for signing a document or pledge? There are hints that there was more to it than this. There is a good possibility that my ancestor Thomas Watts who was later in Georgia was involved. There were so many Thomas Watts at that time that I have never been sure about this.
