Anna, Susan & the rest of us! For as long as this list has been going I have proudly and faithfully been a subscriber and hopefully a cooperative participant. The feeling of family and support is outstanding, really unbelievable!! I can't imagine all we would have not been able to gather, exchange, and record without this wonderful feeling of family. The internal support is amazing and many times Susan and Rootsweb don't see it, because we are exchanging data privately by email and postal service. For decades I have participated actively in local government and seen many attempts at organizing and running community organizations, some that have been successful and many that have failed for many a reason. The ones that have done the best and stayed the course the longest have been those that generate a real feeling of comradeship and family. We have that with this Overstreet list, and it would be a real shame to lose it, or have it altered so we would not be able to have the free flow of exchange that is so open and not overwhelming. I have one occasion wondered what would happen without this wonderful leader at the helm. The answer isn't an easy one, and I sure do hope Susan out lasts me and my involvement in this most enjoyable and meaningful activity. We may not fit the precise rules of Rootsweb, but I'll bet we have one of the largest and most productive groups that are under the umbrella of Rootsweb!! I would be glad to talk with Anna, or her properly identified representative, about this subject if she might so desire.
