Also, there is a difference of opinion as to the name of the father of William STITH of William & Mary College. Some say he was William and some say John. I have both names in my chart. So far, I happen to believe that he, too, was John. But as I said, there are both opinions. With the proper documentary proof, I could be persuaded that he was William. There are also differing opinions as to the surname of the Jane who married John STITH, Sr., with pretty convincing arguments on both sides.
