In the latter half of the 1700's, the Presbyterian Church had a great theological schism between "old school" and "new school." I believe this was due to the rise of Revivalism. I've read the Peaks of the Otter Church split in half, with the "old school" adherents forming the Pisgah Presbyterian Church. Geographically, where exactly in the county was the Pisgah Church? I'm guessing it would be near New London? Also, where was the Peaks of Otter Church? And I would love to see a list containing the original members of both churches. I know some of the ministers--Revs. David Rice, James Mitchell, Benjamin Holt Rice, and others. Any help out there? Edwin
