Someone was looking for John Anderson, born in Bedford City in 1758. I don't think there was a Bedford City in 1758. This village was called Liberty and it was not founded until 1782 or so. It was renamed Bedford City, probably a hundred years after that. The original county seat of Bedford county was New London, leftover from old Lunenburg county. Liberty was named the county seat of Bedford after the formation of Campbell county, and it's new seat was Rustburg. Edwin
