Thanks to 'Tex' for the website. I have used it for years, before Patrick Anderson gave up the daily care of the website. I don't know the name of the person who is in charge now. I scanned the website but I couldn't find a name. However there is good info for those that are searching. Some mistakes, but then aren't we all familiar with those.? I have searched for years for some background on 4 Anderson males who settled in Grayson co, Va. John and Jacob, known brothers, b ca 1758 and 1756. place unknown. Peter Anderson b 1756, Bedford co, Va. James married Martha Nuckols, ( not thought to be related to the others) John, Jacob and Peter's descendants all test in the same group (Gp#4) on the Anderson FTDNA website, with the same haplogroup, with Nordic blood. So there is a connection somewhere. I don't profess to know a lot about DNA. Is anyone out there that has knowledge of any Andersons in Bedford co, Va around that time frame, I would like to hear from you. Maybe we can compile a list of those. Any help would be appreciated. Does anyone know of a WOOD and ANDERSON connection. That name comes up several times in my WOOD line. Anderson Wood is used more than once. Woods were in Bedford very early.
