The Virginia Infantry and The Second Virginia Cavalry came from Bedford. William H. Mitchell came from Lisbon Township. He was married to Nancy Jane Parker. John Moses Parker and Daniel Parker, the brothers of Nancy Jane Parker "Mitchell" Taylor signed on at Lisbon. John Moses Parker also was in the 2nd Virginia Cavalry. He enlisted here in 1862 at Barborsville. Samuel P. Taylor, my great-grandfather's brother, also signed on at Lisbon.
