The Bedford City Library and the Bedford City/County Museum both have this book. "Sunlight on the Southside," by Landon C. Bell. This book lists the titheables for most of the early years of Lunenburg county. What I would love to see is the map of the various precincts. These tytheables were transcribed later by Thomas Walter Duda, and his transcription is all over the internet. Here for instance-- > > http://ftp.rootsweb.ancestry.com/pub/usgenweb/va/lunenburg/census/sun002.txt > > The new transcriber Duda gives a graphical representation of the map of the precincts by using slashes, etc. with his keyboard. This was probably the only way he could reproduce the map to a textual format. I am looking for the actual map, as probably appeared in the original book. I'm guessing this original map would show more detail of Lunenburg that the graphical version shown by the transcriber. Of course, this original map may show no detail at all. I have no way of knowing without seeing the book. Maybe someone could print the map and mail it to me. Or email it if you can reproduce it in that format. Let me know.
