    1. [VABEDFOR] Elizabeth Mitchell
    2. Edwin "Tex" Irvin
    3. I see there are some Mitchell researchers afoot. I have a question. Andrew Irvin married Elizabeth Mitchell in Bedford, in 1774. I know nothing about her family. Andrew was wounded at the siege of York. He and Elizabeth had 10 children. They eventually moved to Kentucky, then finally to Clinton county, Ohio. Andrew died April 25, 1830 in Ohio, age eighty two. Elizabeth was allowed a pension for his services. She died in 1842, age ninety two. I've often wondered who her father was. Or if she was kin to the Rev. James Mitchell who married so many folks in Bedford/Campbell. I believe Andrew and Elizabeth owned land near Difficult Creek, in Bedford. Their children were Robert, Jane, Mary, Stephen Mitchell, Lucinda, Caleb, Joshua, John, Elizabeth, and William. I believe Lucinda was the grandmother of Lucinda Boyd, who later wrote the much quoted (and often wrong) "Irvines and Kin." Edwin
