I have Sarah GRAHAM of Bedford Co in the 1780s - mother of 10 - who turns up in Court records as COX then marries a Mr. FURROW. My question: Would a lady with 10 children in 1780 Bedford County VA have taken her maiden name back and also given it to her children? Any thoughts? My Sarah is such a puzzle!! Kay in CA
