Good Morning: Does anyone have information on the marriage of William Dent & Esther Board? In the book, Marriage Bonds, Bedford Co. VA., on page 18 it lists: William Dent and Esther Board, 23 Oct. 1800, John Meador, surety, consent of John Board. I don't have any other information on this couple. The reason I may be interested in them, I am at the proverbial brick wall with my William H. Dent of Franklin Co. and according to the book, Franklin Co. VA. Death Records 1853-1896, he died 10 April 1885, Franklin Co. at age 72 years, born Bedford Co., making his birth date about 1813, the book does not show who reported the death, his widow, Elizabeth Fishburn Dent, died 11 April 1890, her death was reported by daughter, M. Dent. The 1850 Franklin Co. Va. census lists his age as 45, his birth date being 1805, in the 1860 census his age is 51, his birth date 1809, in the 1870 census he is 63, his birth date 1807. I suspect from this data that he apparently didn't know the year of his birth. I am trying to determine if he could possibly be connected to the above mentioned marriage. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Sidney
