Searching for information on James McCormick who m. Louisa Payne in Bedford Co. in 1842. James b.c. 1809 in Ireland, came to NYC 1821-1829. Passed through Harper's Ferry, arriving Bedford Co. before big meteor shower of November 1833. Louisa was dtr. James Payne and Sarah "Sally" unknown. Couple had 4 children in Bedford Co. -- John Thomas (b. 1844), William Greenberry and Joseph Norman (twins; b. 1846), and Mary Elizabeth (b. 1848) -- before moving to IN in 1852. Another dtr. Margaret Almira b. 1859 in IN. Frustration has been attempting to connect James McCormick to others of same name in Bedford/Franklin Co. area.
