Dear Listers, This is my first post and I may not have enough information to make a request, but I would like to try. EDGAR MELVIN HENSON was born in Waugh, Bedford Co., Va. on either Aug 2, 1926 or Dec 31, 1927. I have been told that he lied to enter the military, so I am unsure which is the correct date. His father was WALTER MASSIE HENSON and his mother was ANNE LILLIAN BOTH. When Edgar applied for his Social Security card on 7/27/43, he was living in Phoebus, Va. That appears to have been incorporated into the city of Hampton in 1952. At the time that he applied for his social security card, he lists his employer as the Post Exchange at Langley Field, Va. After mustering out, he was briefly married to MADELINE GERTRUDE GREEN, about 1948-1950. He lived very briefly in Jordan, NY. He returned to Virginia early 1950's and has not been heard from since. I recently discovered that he died in 1964. I have been unable to determine anything about this family except Edgar's death. Any information or help would be greatly appreciated as this is the sum of all of the information on this branch of the family.
