West was married to Mary Evelyn Wells on March 3, 1910 BIRTHS: Whitfield West was born March 7th 1832 Florilla West was born July 7th 1849( This enrty is inconsistent with the Florilla Wood West headstone inscription at her Mt. Hermon Methodist Church burial site in Lynch Station, Virginia. The headstone inscription there gives her birth date as July 7, 1846. The headstone is believed to have been placed there by Samuel W.
