Dear Jeri, Historical Diary of Bedford, Virginia, USA by Peter Viemeister, available from the Bedford City/County Museum, stated at page 74 that 21 Bedford County soldiers of Company A, 116th Regiment, died on D- Day and 2 others died with other companies. Page 75 has a list of Bedford men who died in World War II. I count 153 men. Bob Grant
