I am a descendant of Sally Fuqua, who married Junius D. Lowry, and lived at Center Point, Bedford County, VA. My grandmother was Bessie Lillian Lowry who married Walter A. Markham, of Lowry, Va. Sally Fuqua's brother was long time resident of Bedford County, George W. Fuqua, whose son Charles Fuqua, died very young, 25 yrs. old, he married Ann Croft and they had two children, Alexander Whitfield, and Charles Samuell. George W. Fuqua's father and mother were John Alexander Fuqua and Francis Landon Fizer. George W. Fuqua's sisters were, Sally Fuqua Lowry, b Abt. 1860, Lived in Roanoke, when she died. Jemmie Fuqua Cox b. Abt. 1862, ran a Hotel in Big Island, Va., Mary Louise Fuqua Anthony, b.Abt. 1872, who married the Rev. Penn Arthur Anthony, Pastor of Timber Ridge Baptist Church 1916-1919. Blanch Fuqua Kincanon, who married Theodore C. Kincanon, and lived in Louisa, Va. I need help in connecting these Fuqua's to Thomas Fuqua, son of Ralph Fuqua, who owned most of the land that is now Bedford, Virginia. Ralph's son Joseph, gave the land that the Bedford County Court House is built on. I am convinced that my Fuqua's, are direct descendants of Ralph Fuqua. Will someone please come to my rescue? Thank You, Tommy Markham
