It was not indexed very well and there was lots of mistakes. In 1998, the Franklin County Genealogical Society and the Franklin County Historical Society merged. We are now the Franklin County Heritage Society and have published a new cemetery book. We printed over 200 copies, which sold out immediately. We have now reprinted the new version and have more copies available. The new cemetery book is indexed by name and cemetery. We have tried to correct the mistakes from the old book and have added several cemeteries that were left out. Our main focus was on the small family cemeteries. This is because they are in the most danger of being lost. Time, weather and land developers are taking their toll on these cemeteries. Our effort has been not only to archive these graves, but to save them as well. Thank you for writing, Donna Wingfield Franklin County Heritage Society --part0_899038686_boundary--
