Edmund and his wife Elizabeth (LAWHORN) HAYNES sold their land in Bedford County ca 1846 and migrated to KY with their 12 children. Edmund died that August in Meade County, KY. I need help getting a copy of the deed selling their VA land. In Deed book 32, page 324 in Bedford County, it is stated that ca 1846 Edmund, Elizabeth "and others of John HAYNES estate" deeded 200+ acres land on Beaverdam Creek to John Buford Sr. I have been unable to get a copy of the deed, because the Bedford County Museum Director says the Deed book has a sewn binding and cannot be photocopied. If anyone has a copy, I would be most grateful if they would send it to me; if one of you has access to the deed books and would hand copy it, I would be glad to pay the expenses and/or fee for the service.
