Ardis, The Library of Virginia at 800 E. Broad St. is the best place in Richmond for research. They have lots of records on microfilm plus books, maps, etc. You can check out their hours, online catalog, etc. at http://www.lva.lib.va.us/ There is also the VA Historical Society at http://www.vahistorical.org/ and the VA Baptist Historical Society at the University of Richmond.
