    1. RE: Sinclairs & Dula (Dooley) from Bedford Co

    3. Hi, Here is my query - John Grant and his wife Lydia sold 192 acres of land to George Simmons on June 25, 1792 on Enoch's Creek in Bedford Co., Va. near Thomas Wright and William Scott. But listed as co-sellers were Wayman and Mary Sinclair. Why were the Grants and Sinclairs both be partners in 192 acres, unless they were somehow related? My guess is that the wives were related. Here is what I have for Mary Watts' family: Bedford County, Virginia Will Book 2, Page 158. Will of Edward Watts: March 12, 1793 Wife: Elizabeth Daughters: Ann Scott Sons: William Elizabeth Snell Benjamin Milly Richards John Mary Sinclair Sarah Huddleston Witness: Joseph Brown Charles Simmons Isaac Sinclair Edward and Elizabeth WATTS children: 1.John WATTS 2.William WATTS married Ann WRIGHT July 23, 1792 in Bedford Co. (dau. of John Wright) 3.Benjamin WATTS b. 1764 mar. 1st Mary WRIGHT Dec 21, 1786 in Bedford Co. (dau. of John) Ben 2nd married Eilzabeth KEY Nov 18, 1784 Bedford Co. (dau. of John Key and Agnes Witt) 4.Ann WATTS married Edward SCOTT 5.Elizabeth WATTS married ______ SNELL 6.Milly WATTS married ________ RICHARDS 7.Mary WATTS married Wayman SINCLAIR 8.Sarah WATTS married Samuel HUDDLESTON Jan 26, 1784 Bedford Co. (son of Daniel Huddleston and Rachel Martin) ============================================================= Was John Grant's wife, Lydia a Watts? or a Sinclair? John Grant left Loudoun Co., Va. by 1783/4 and was in Botetourt Co. when he first bought Bedford Co. land (100 acres on Enoch's Creek). I have no record of John and Lydia buying the above mentioned 192 acres, but they were partners in selling it with Wayman and Mary Sinclair. HELP!! Thanks.
