Hello researchers, This is my first post to the list. I am researching my wife's family history. Her lineage is as follows: 1 Albert G. Millner (c. 1813 - ? ) m. Nancy Coffee (c. 1829 - ? ) 2 Jesse Nollie Millner (May 1860 - ? ) m. Cora Belle Clayton (Mar 1872 - ? ) 3 Nollie Dixon Millner (16 Sep 1897 - 21 Sep 1995) m. Myrl Belle Miller (11 Nov 1899 - 19 Oct 1928) 4 June Belle Millner (1933 - ) my wife. Albert and Jesse Millner spent most of their lives on Jackson Mtn. in Bedford Co. farming. Nollie Dixon was born and raised in Appommatox but, as a young man, went to Baltimore where he met and married Mryl Belle Millner. On the Bedford County Page I found the following marriage bonds: Jan. 10, 1803; William Millner & Sally Dishman; Jeremiah Dishman, Surety. Nov.___ 25, 1824; Elijah Ogden & Nancy Millner; William Millner, Surety; Married by William Harris, Nov. 31, 1824. Nov. 8, 1830; William Gaddy & Margaret Millner, dt William; Holcombe L. Coffee, Surety. Sep. 12, 1836; Lewis B. Wingfield & Prudence Millner, dt William; Albert G. Millner, Surety. Dec. 19, 1836; Albert G. Millner & Mildred H. Rucker, dt Joshua; William W. Major, Surety. Jan. 16, 1839; Harrison B. Reynolds & Mary Millner, dt William; Albert G. Millner, Surety. Sep. 2, 1850; Albert G. Millner & Ann P. Clayton; Wm. P. Rucker, Surety; Consent of Arthur W. Clayton, brother of Ann; Married by Benjamin R. Dawson, Sept. 4, 1850. Nov. 3, 1834; Henry M. Ogden & Marilla Millner, dt William; Albert G. Millner, Surety. What these records seem to show is that Albert Millner was married twice before he married Nancy Coffee. I am guessing that I may also be looking at marriages of Albert's sisters Nancy, Margret, Prudence, Mary and Marilla. Also it appears that William Millner and Sally Dishman were Albert's parents. Additional evidence of this is that one of Albert's sons was named Jeremiah Dishman Millner. With all of this circumstanial evidence, I am looking for confirmation of these guesses. I am also interested in any information concerning the connecting families: Rucker, Clayton, Claytor, Coffee or Dishman. I would thank everyone in advance for any information you can contribute no matter how small and if I can reciprocate I certainly will. Norm Hare Newark, DE
