I believe I am on the correct List. I am looking for GILL/BLANKENSHIP surnames who were in Lynchburg, VA in the late 1800s. My map indicates this could be one on several counties. However, I noticed many GILL/BLANKENSHIP names listed in the Bedford County census. I seek information about the following: Charles H. GILL, m. Lucinda ?; they had one known son, Charlie Henry GILL. Charlie Henry GILL, b. 7 January 1861 in Virginia; m. Emma POWERS 8 May 1883. Emma POWERS, b. 12 January 1860 in Virginia; d. Lynchburg. Her parents were Philip P. POWERS (the immigrant) and Eliza WRIGHT. They had one known daughter, Ella C. GILL. Ella C. GILL, b. 21 January 1884, Lynchburg, VA; m. Thomas Leftwich BLANKENSHIP 14 August 1902.
