    2. Here is the info on the Reverends William LEFTWICH, WhiteHead and BlackHead. They were first cousins: Rev. William Leftwich, "White Head" (pedigree:Colonel Thomas, Augustine, Sr., Thomas, Sr., Ralph), b. November 10, 1774, d. April 22, 1846, married (1st) Sally Leftwich (b. August 28, 1777, d. May 9, 1844), daughter of Augustine Leftwich, Jr., December 22, 1795, in Bedford County, Va.; married (2nd) Elizabeth Jane Snider, daughter of Martin Snider, November 5, 1844, in Bedford County. He left will (W. B. "M," p. 196, Bedford Co.), dated April 14, 1846, probated April 27, 1846, in which he devised property to his wife, Elizabeth Jane, and his hereinafter named children. His estate was inventoried December 28, 1846 (W. B. "M," p. 318, Bedford Co.). In the same book, p. 321, the report of the administrator shows his personal property was sold for $30,184.60. His widow, Elizabeth Jane Leftwich, married Callohill D. Chewning in Bedford County, January 19, 1847. On October 24, 1808, Rev. William Leftwich was authorized by the County Court of Bedford, Va., to celebrate the rite of marriage as a minister of the Gospel of the Baptist Church. Rev William Leftwich, Jr., "Black Head" (pedigree: Colonel William, Augustine; Sr., Thomas, Sr., Ralph), b. March 10, 1768, d. June 16, 1848, a prominent Baptist minister of Bedford County, Va., and a captain in the Virginia Militia. He inherited his father's estate near Lynchburg, Va. He married (1st) Frances Otey (b. October 5, 1772, d. October 10, 1825), only daughter of Colonel John and Mary (Hopkins) Otey, Bedford County, Va., June 17, 1788. He married (2nd) Mary Fuqua, daughter of Joseph and Celia Fuqua, August 22, 1826. He married (3rd) Catherine B. Greer, February 27, 1839. (See her will dated May 25, 1852, pro. May 17, 1854 (W. B. 2, Circuit Court, p. 186, Franklin Co., Va.), wherein she mentions her father, Moses Greer, and nephews Thomas B. Greer and Moses G. Carper). (See his will dated June 24, 1847, pro. in Bedford Co., Va., June 26, 1848, W. B. N. p. 28). (See also agreement in 1848 between the heirs and division of the slaves, W. B. N. pp. 171 and 249, Bedford Co., Va.).
