There is a book called: "Our Kin" The Genealogies OF SOME OF THE EARLY FAMILIES WHO MADE HISTORY in the Founding and Development of BEDFORD COUNTY VIRGINIA This is a great book on early Bedford County, VA families. The book is out of print, but I have been in contact with the publisher in an attempt to have it reprinted.
