It is my understanding that Russell Parish was part the established religion of the day, meaning Anglican Church, the official religion of the British. I, too, have ancestors who were affilated with Russell Parish, but sadly, none of the official records survive. You may get hints or clues about an ancestor's dealing with Russell Parish in the county court orders (such as orphans being bound out), but the actual lists are no longer extant. Bob in VA
