Primary surnames of interest: CRAIG, EADS/EADES, HUDDLESTON, PIBORN Other surnames: ENGLISH, GAITHER, GALLOWAY, TISON, WEST, WHITTEN (FYI, I'd suggest putting your surnames on the subject line of the message for future roll calls - makes it easier to determine which are of interest.) First, some brief background: my wife is thrice descended from Robert EADS/EADES, who died in Bedford County about 1800. That is, she is a direct descendant of three of his sons. - On her father's side, Robert C. EADS, the son of William EADS (#5 below) and his wife Rebecca, married his first cousin, Nancy EADS, the daughter of Charles EADS (#4 below) and Sarah PIBORN. Robert C. & Nancy are my wife's paternal ggg-grandparents. - On her mother's side, she descends from Joseph EADES (#9 below) and his first wife Elizabeth HUDDLESTON. Their daughter Sarah EADES married Moses CRAIG, possibly in Bedford County, probably by 1820 when their first child was born (in VA, possibly Bedford County.) We have nothing definite on Moses CRAIG except a mention of his name in the will of Joseph EADES. Moses CRAIG and Sarah EADES are my wife's maternal gg-grandparents. *** Any information on Moses CRAIG & Sarah EADES would be appreciated, especially any record of their marriage. *** We want to identify the last name and trace the family of Rebecca, the wife of William EADS (#5 below) and locate their marriage record. *** We are also interested in data on the PIBORN family of Sarah PIBORN, wife of Charles EADS (#4 below) and the HUDDLESTON family of Elizabeth HUDDLESTON, wife of Joseph EADES (#9 below). Hello everyone, My roll call names are: James H Bowles b. 1836 and Married Frances Eliza St.Clair Frances St.Clair b. 1832 as above Mint T St. Clair who married Caleb B Bowles one of James and Frances sons. I am also trying to find any information of John Walter Bowles b.1866 he married Georgeanna Wheeler Dec. 14 1887 They had a daughter names Mary Elizabeth Bowles b. Oct. 4 1887 (my greatgrandmother) I do believe that John Walter Bowles is the son of James H Bowles and Frances Eliza Bowles (source : 1880 Census- Mineral Spring--South Chamblissburg --Bedford County Va) Georgeanna Wheeler died sometime after her son John Henry Bowles was born 1891, and his father remarried to Bettie A Atkinson on March 3 1893 ( Bettie might had been a nickname and her first name could be Elizabeth) Also Warren H Curtis b. unk. he married Martha King b, unk. they had one son (that I know of) Samuel G.     3. As always, I am searching for my link to Bedford Co. and the St. Clairs there. Oldest known ancestor, James St. Clair, probably b. Bedford Co. ca. 1795, and probably son of Wayman & Mary Watts St. Clair. James' wife was Elizabeth, and he possibly married more than once. They appear in Giles Co. VA 1834 and later Logan Co.
