    1. [VABEDFOR-L] Roll Call: PAGE, PUGH, FREDERICK
    2. Elizabeth Smith
    3. Dear all, I am researching the PAGE and PUGH families and, by association the FREDERICK family of Nelson, Amherst, and Bedford Co., VA. I have a Joseph and Frances PAGE who were born in VA and who, family tradition says, came to KY in Dec. of 1817. There was a Joseph Page who was on the tax lists in Amherst Co., VA from 1803 (when my Joseph would have been 20 years old) until 1807. Later, he shows up on Nelson Co. list in 1811 (which likely was the part of Amherst that became Nelson). A J. PAGE and F. PUGH were married in Nelson Co. in 1813 or 1814 (I have conflicting dates and can't find where I saved the original info.) in Nelson Co. VA. The bondsman for this marriage was Thomas PUGH. Joseph PAGE shows up in Bedford Co. in 1815 and 1816. A John K. FREDERICK married Nancy PUGH, daughter of Thomas and Winnifred (MORRIS MORRISON) PUGH, on 9 Sept 1816 in Bedford Co., VA. Thomas and Winnifred MORRIS, widow of John MORRISON, were married on 2 Jan 1788 in Amherst Co., VA. I believe that they were also the parents of my Frances who married Joseph PAGE. >From Bedford Co., the PAGES, PUGHS and FREDERICKS traveled to Kentucky. They all appear on the 1820 Jefferson Co., KY Census. Any help appreciated. 1. [VABEDFOR-L] Roll Call - Mayhews, Ayers
    2. Wes McDaniel
    3. Great Idea!!! Still working the Mayhew, Ayers lines from Bedford Co. Specifically, parents and any other info on William Wesley Ayers, b.21 Dec 1850, d. 5 Feb 1934 in Bedford Co. Also looking for same information on his wife, Madora or Madonna Thomas Mattox, b. 16 May 1854, d. 3 Sep 1946. I also have been unable to find their marriage date, believed to be in 1870. Would appreciate any and all info. Also info on the Mayhews. Last known ancestor found is James Mayhew, b. abt 1800 and wife, Nancy Lewis, b. abt 1800. Only children I have thus far is Reazin or Rezin and James T. Mayhew who married Sarah H.M. St. Clair (my line). Have no other info on children, parents, or siblings. Also, I KNOW most of my line is buried in Bedford, but the only living relative in my line that vaguely remembers where the cemetery is is my Aunt Virgie Mabel Mayhew (married name Myers). Here is the rough directions...can anyone identify the cemetery and the exact location? Hwy 24 to Stanton River HS, turn right on Stoney Fork Creek Road, then turn right at the top of the hill, then turn left at the road with the route number beginning with either 3 or 8, remain on that road till you come to a church on right side of road...cemetery is on little hill in the back. Thanks, Wes McDaniel
