Dear Georgia, I, myself, cannot find anything on our Robertson/Roberson/Robinson line before John in White County, TN. in the mid-1800s. I am going on the research of others that our John was descended from John Robertson and before that William Robeson and Mary Colwell of Augusta Co. VA, who was descended from Andrew of Scotland and VA. This seems to fit because of the migration of the Robertson/Roberson/Robinson brothers to Northwest Arkansas in and around the time of the Civil War, when we can zero in on family accounts in their own words.
Sorry, I don't see any relationship between your Robertsons and ours. Our Robertsons came in early 1700's probably into Orange Co, then into Augusta Co. when it was formed. William Robertson married Letitia Kar/Kerr and they had eleven children. One daughter, Elizabeth married Robert Douglass, and they moved to Blount Co., TN. They were my GGG Grandparents.
