In an earlier message, I stated that I had reviewed microfilm records of the Tinkling Springs Church. I was mistaken, the records I reviewed were from the New Providence Church - which was very near Tinkling Springs. The time period of the records is 1819 - 1849. The title of the microfilm record is "Session Book of the New Providence Church, April 1819-1849." The microfilm is available from the Union Theological Seminary, Richmond. (804) 335-9913. They may also have records from Tinkling Springs. It is worth a phone call to find out. The microfilm can be ordered on interlibrary loan from your local library - usually about $5 to cover cost of shipping.
