There is a Nicholas Sneed listed on both the 1850 and 1870 census for Augusta County, Virginia. He is 27 in 1850 and naturally, 47 on the 1870 census. On the 1850 census he is married to a Mary F. and the following children are listed. David, 18; Francis 16;Jacob A. 14; Eliza and Martha ,12; Nicholas T., 11;Thomas, 10; Deana, 9; John H.,5; Benjamin, 3; and James W., 1. I am assuming that he married Mary F. around 1850-1851. He was born in Virginia, but no parents are listed for him. Does anyone know anything about this family and possibly the parents of this Nicholas Sneed? Any help would be appreciated. Ann
