Keith, My Reed family started with John Samuel Reed. I don't have any information on him. HIs son was John Harvey Reed born 22 Dec 1817 in what is now Preston County, West Virginia. He married Susannah H. Field born 5 Nov. 1818 in Herring what is now Preston County, West Virginia. John Harvey and Susannah Reed's daughter was Alcinda or Elizabeth Alcinda Reed born 30 May 1844 near Easton, Monongalia Co., Virginia and died 8 Dec 1887 in Pennsylvania. She married Peter Molisee. These Reeds are related to James Reed for whom Reedsville, West Virginia was named. Thank you for any information you might have.
