Hello: I am researching Thomas ASKINS, born in VA ca. 1767. Seeking parents data. Married ca. 1800 to Sarah (LNU) "Sally", born ca 1778 maybe all in Augusta County, VA. Thomas ASKINS died in Pulaski Co. VA btw. 1850 & 1860. Sarah died Pulaski Co. Va. 18 Dec 1861. Thomas ASKINS Children seem to be born in Augusta & Botetourt Co's. in VA., and married in Montgomery Co. VA. lived in Pulaski Co. Va. maybe all without moving ? Thomas seem to be close to a John ASKINS who died in Augusta Co. and left a will dated 4 Apr 1801. He left 20 acres to Miss. Darby HALBERT and the balance to his brother Philemon "Philip" oldest son. This oldest so seen to be Edward ASKINS of Kentucky. Thomas ASKINS later was surety to the marriage of Samuel Coffee to Abigail HOLBART 29 Jun 1819 and to John Myers to Darcus HOBERT 18 Oct 1819 in Montgomery Co. Va. These could be the daughters of Darby HALBERT and maybe John ASKINS ? I need to find out the connection between John ASKINS; Darby HALBERT; and Thomas ASKINS.
