Andrew WALLIS/WALLACE. He married Margaret CALBREATH in 1796 in Augusta County, Virginia. ANDREW and MARGARET were present in Augusta, VA for the settlement of Margaret's father's estate, Thomas CALBREATH(also spelled COLDBREATH, AND GALBRAITH ), in 1801. Nothing is known of them until the 1820 census of Smith County, Tennessee where Margaret/Peggy appears as the head of household suggesting Andrew was deceased prior to 1820. I know nothing about Andrew prior to his marriage but Margaret was the daughter of Thomas and Margaret CALBREATH. Margaret was the daughter of William Johnston who plots 269 & 270 in the Beverly Patent dated 1749. William JOHNSTON and his wife Ann SMITH . William JOHNSTON along with Ann, Elizabeth and John Johnston proved their importation in Orange County, Virginia on 24 July, 1740. Howard M. Wilson wrote that The Johnston's though of Scottish descent, came from Ireland to New Hampshire. Any help on the WALLACE line would be appreciated. James Wm. Wallace
