Hi All Does anyone have a link to an early Staunton map - somewhere in the time period of 1800 to 1850? I have looked at current maps and cannot find Port Republic Road. I know there is a Port Republic Road from Waynesboro going north. However, the deeds that I am looking at state that it is by Lewis Creek about 2 and 1/2 miles east of Staunton which is the wrong direction and distance for Waynesboro. Thank you for your help. Someone in our family was in need of a particular map a few years back and went to the US Gov Forest Service and was able to get what was needed. The phone no. is 540 885-8028...maybe that will help.
