Pat, Thankyou for the information on John Kincaid from Virginia. Towards the end of you notes I see reference to a John Kincaid of Fayette County. My Mary/Polly Thompson married John Kinkead there in 1790. There were a couple of John Kinkeads in the area in the early days. Have you seen the pension file for John of Fayette County? Thanks for the help. Bob Thompson
Bob, I kind of think I saw it in the same Revolution Pensions file. At the time, and it was awhile ago, I was able to order it through the Archives at my library. I didn't make any copies of it though. I can't honestly say that those pension fiels are available online, but maybe someone else can say. I believe that they are aviailable at any regional Federal archives. I'm sorry I not much more help. I was only trying to establish my relative whose name and marriage was mentioned in the contested will cases for her father, John Dean.
