Maggie, Yes we did correspond several years ago and you certainly gave me lots of information on these families. I contacted a Janie Sherman who was extremely helpful in explaining First Families of Augusta County . Janie's email address is [email protected] . I think the information needs to be submitted by end of December. I have been working on mine and hope to get in completed before the deadline. The thing that really helps is that they use Chakley's Chronicles as proof. I am having a little small problem proving that James Glenn was the son of William Glenn. If anyone else on this list knows of James or William Glenn please contact me. I am interested in your Glenn (Young?) connections. Chalkley has 2 wills that intrigue me. James Young's 16 Nov 1790 will and George Glenn's 1801 will. George is the son-in-law of James Young. Between the 2 wills it can be determined that George's children were: Agnes m West Miller, James, William, Sarah m Rbt. Young, Martha, Hugh, Nancy , Mary m Sam Curry. West Miller shows up in Greenbrier Co. VA He may be related to my James/Elizabeth Kincaid Miller. There is also a William Young with daughter Nancy who marries a John Kincaid in the same region as West Miller. There are also some Glenns there. The above Kincaid and Miller families move to Campbell Co. TN where they live and intermarry with another Glenn family (no known relationship to the Glenn families of Augusta, Albemarle or Grbr Co.s) Sue in Newport > > I am having a little small problem proving that James Glenn was the son of > William Glenn. Sue, Yes, I have a set of Chalkley's and I pour through them almost every evening, I love those books, best investment I ever made. The George Glenn and James Young you mentioned are my 6th & 7th great grandfathers. I have Nancy Agnes married to Wert Miller, Nancy Agnes was a sister of my William Glenn, I don't have anything else on either Nancy Agnes or Wert other than getting their names out of Chalkley's (will of George Vol III page 243) Please keep me in mind and I will do the same, should I find more on them.
