In the "First Marriage Record of Augusta County, Virginia, 1785-1813," by the Col. Thomas Hughart Chapter of DAR (c. 1970), there is a May 29, 1792 marriage of Jacob Caulk to Margaret McFaddin performed by Rev. John Brown. Does anyone know where I can obtain a photocopy of the original marriage record or a list of marriages performed by Rev. John Brown? I believe this person may be Jacob Faulk/Foulk. In the early 1800s Jacob in in Monongalia Co., VA/WV and court records show his wife's name is Margaret. Thanks. Millie

Wish I could help, but I don't have anything on the (I'm assuming) English Rev. John Brown. My 4 Great Grandfather, the German Rev. John Brown, didn't arrive to America until 1798. So, the 1792 marriage performed by Rev. John Brown is by the English Rev. Brown ....
