Hi List, Are the Hemps in Augusta Co. related to the Hemp family in Shen. Co.? In Shen. Co. Casper Hemp married Magdelina Spore Aug. 16, 1785. Later, in Washington Co. TN, Jacob Mauck/Mock married Margaret Hemp in 1811. They are my g-g-grandparents. I do not know the parents of Margaret (Hemp) Mauck. In Shen. Co. VA, Casper Hemp sometimes appeared in the household of Jacob Spore on the tax rolls. Any comments? Jerry Spore
