Does anyone have a marriage book for Augusta County Virginia that shows a marriage for Catherine Goodwin on 17 June 1799? If so, who was her spouse? The Ancestry.com record does not give the most important part: the name of her spouse. It only says he is of age. However, it does give the name of her father, Joseph Goodwin. Ancestry.com had this marriage, saying that it was originally published in CHRONICLES OF THE SCOTCH-IRISH SETTLEMENT IN VIRGINIA, 1745-1800 and extracted from the original court records of Augusta Country by Lyman Chalkley.
