    1. [VAAUGUST] Chronicles of the Scot-Irish of Augusta County, VA
    2. I am trying to find a copy of the book "Chronicles of the Scot-Irish of Augusta County, VA 1745 - 1800". Does anyone if this book is available, and if so, where? I do not know the name of the author or when it was published. I am searching for information on my Wilson family that came from Scotland to Baltimore, MD, about 1730 - 1740, then to Virginia. The family was in Campbell County, in 1792, as my gr gr grandfather, John C. Wilson, was born there 1792. His father's name was James C. Wilson, and was probably born in Virginia about 1750. I don't know where the family came to in Virginia when they left Maryland, or even when. I only have info from family stories told by 90 year old man and an 86 year old woman. They both say that the family only stayed in Maryland a short time and went to the mountains. That covers a lot of territory. I'm hoping that this book will give me some clue as to where to look. Thank you very much for your help. Harold in Florida ************************************** See what's free at http://www.aol.com.

    3. This is a three volume set according to my recollection. It was DAR approved with an addendum. (The author is Chalkey, forgot first name.) I've never seen the addendum but the book is excellent. You might have to get an interlibrary loan say from Library of Virginia. Most libraries in VA have a set. God Bless. ----- Original Message ----- From: HMcdon3900@aol.com To: VAAUGUST@rootsweb.com Sent: Tuesday, April 24, 2007 1:22 PM Subject: [VAAUGUST] Chronicles of the Scot-Irish of Augusta County, VA I am trying to find a copy of the book "Chronicles of the Scot-Irish of Augusta County, VA 1745 - 1800".
